Frans and Clara Tintypes
Tintype images, also known as a melainotype or ferrotype, were produced on a plate of thin metal. They seem to be retouched (photoshopped) after the photo was taken where skin, hair, clothes, jewelry and background are painted over - much like photographers still do today.
