After the war, he opened a restaurant with his brother, Buddy. Buddy and Frankie were co-owners and operators of Frank's Restaurant on Route 75 in Windsor Locks, CT from 1951-1966. The restaurant was just outside the Bradley Air Force Base, now Bradley International Airport. It was the only restaurant around, as the area was not built up as it is today so it had a brisk business.
