  Al was in the 8th grade and 14 years old when Evelyn died from cancer. Evelyn Lindblad’s adoptive parents were from Sweden. Evelyn’s adoption records (Alide had them) list her as Ethel Montgomery - probably not Swedish. She was adopted from an orphanage. She was born in Jamestown, NY and is buried there in the largest cemetery – Lake View Cemetery. Evelyn died about one year after coming to Middletown, CT.
