- Godparents at his Baptism were Per August and Anna Sophia Johnson. Anna Sophia is Grandpa's (Frank Johnson) sister. They lived across the street from Leonard's parents, my grandparents, in the house I grew up in on Nordland Avenue. There is an interesting story of coincidence: The Rose family lived in the next to the last house on Nordland Avenue on the same side as Per August and Anna Sophia. Christopher Rose started going with Gertrude, the adopted child of Frank Johnson and his wife, Beatrice (She was Beatrice's child by her first marriage) who moved or built the house next door to his parents (which later became the Polish family's house). This Frank Johnson was the son of Anna Sophia (aka: Faster which means aunt in Swedish) and Pehr August Johnson. (Anna Sophia was Grandpa's sister, therefore this Frank Johnson was his nephew).
