About 1637 he removed to New Haven, and took the oath of fidelity. He was one of the founders of the New Haven Colony and lived in this county on what is now called Chapel Street. He was a god fearing man and a good citizen, but not a puritan and on that account came to New Haven, where he died in September 1662. He had two sons - John and Joseph and one daughter.
